    Hi! First, I want to say that you make great patches! I've downloaded some free patches. I want to know if I have to tweak them on the A4 to have the exact sound I heard on your demo patches? I have an A4 mk2 and some patches don't sound like your demos.

    Thanks
    Tchu

    @Mark
    Hi Mark,
    I cecked the "ARP T63" and played it like you also do but I didn't get that phenomenon. But I'm very familiar with this machine and I know the problems that could comes with. This one could maybe happend if you didn't calibrate your A4/AK for a long time, but I'm not very sure if this sloves your problem...
    I'm very happy that you like my sound pack and also very thankful for supporting me, thank you Mark.

    Mark (Sunday, 14 February 2016 17:51)

    Hi, thanks for the reply!

    As you correctly pointed out, the problem was i was attempting to copy to a bank with no free 'slots available. Ive now copied the sounds over and they are quality! So good that I've just bought the BPM sound pack! One thing though, on the BPM pack - I loaded the ARP track (FP ARP T63) and set have set the settings in the PDF document, however the ARP plays as it should for 64 steps or so then changes to a muddled up sequence then goes back to the ARP sound again.... Strange!! Do you know what is causing this to happen?

    Floppydisk Pirates (Saturday, 13 February 2016 14:45)

    @Mark Hey there, are you sure bank "A" is empty? Just because in this case "256" means empty. Another solution coluld be the midi config / midi port config. Check your settings here. I had the same problem too. Input from usb, output to midi+usb, output ch auto ch, param output cc, receive notes checked, receive cc/nrpn checked. These are my settings and it works fine for me. Maybe you should try this and check this tutorial: https://youtu.be/-uGIjc8weuw?t=22s

    Hope I can help you.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

    Im attempting to send 128 .syx files to my Analog Four. Ive updated the OS to 1.22.

    Open C6 application. I've made sure the AF is highlighted in the config menu. Copied the 128 samples to the C6 windows, all highlighted in blue

    Midi Port Config - Input from USB
    Output to USB

    Function Global - Sysex receive - 'Receive any'. Select +Drive sound - selected bank 'A' (zero sounds stored in this bank)

    When I click on send the C6 sends 1 -4 files but nothing appears on the AF (Just waiting Data) and the C6 stops sending..... The AF just says waiting data..

    Can someone please help me to understand the problem here? Many thanks

    I came across some of your videos when I first got my A4 a few months back. I'm strolling through the free patches and wow! Very cutting and edgy surreal sounds. Great work, great web site! Really something to be proud of!

    I am new to analog keys and I've been playing keyboards for over 40 years and having a hard time , So far not very user-friendly can only get one mono key to play no poly mode or Unison mode. I was going to return my Analog keys back to the store, until I heard you sounds. I wish there were more helpful, User videos about the basics just to get you started on the keyboard. Again thank you so much for your free wonderful sounds, if I keep the keyboard I plan to get your other sounds. Even installing the sounds compared other keyboards seems to be confusing. Compared to the many other keyboards that I own. Thank you so much again kind regards, TotallyKenny

    Just loaded up Unmechanical - you've done it again :) These patches are seriously impressive - beautiful sounds, and so many of them! I can spend hours just flicking through the sounds. I really like that you've spent time on the modulations too, the joystick and aftertouch. Nice work, and a great addition to your other great sound banks!

    I can only confirm... I've just downloaded the packs and imported them to my AK. I love the juno emulations, dream pads and how the heck did you achieve this unreal patch? With a bit of reverb you might think it's a big grand recordered in a mysterious arena :D Keep up the good work.
    Take care,

    Floppydisk Pirates (Friday, 12 September 2014 00:36)

    @Helge Krabye

    Yea, some tunes have different notes because of the sound. Sometimes it can be very hard to get a sound that you want to hear and you have to detune it or set an indirect oscillator position to achieve that special tune-.- To fix this you have to take a look at the oscillator 1&2 page sections and play with the coarse tunes until the sound is correct. But keep in mind when you set different tunes the sound will be crucial change. Also to consider is the oscillator sync mode. For example in Sync mode 1->2 oscillator 1 at -6 and oscillator 2 at +9: If you set osc1 to -12 to make it right you have to change the tune of osc2 also to -6 steps, so set osc2 to +3 to keep the actually sound:)

    I Hope it helped!

    Helge Krabye (Thursday, 11 September 2014 23:37)

    Thanks for the new, nice collection of A4 sounds DEPTH&ViSiON. As in your other collections, several presets have a different ground key than expected. When I push the C key, I expect to get a C, not a F. What is the correct method (a short instruction would help) to correct this?

    @Helge Krabye

    hm, thats wired -.- for a second i thought that my bpm sounds was damaged or incompatible, puh :) I'm glad everything is working now.
    Btw, your music is awsome, so deep and full of great-sounding tones. I like how you place the sounds and how you give them so much space.
    This is something that I still have to learn. My favorite is "Riding On Meta Clouds". I don't now how you did that, but it's very cool stuff mate!

  • #28

    Helge Krabye (Monday, 30 June 2014 10:57)

    Floppydisk Pirates (Monday, 30 June 2014 00:38)

    @Helge Krabye

    I just importet the bpm soundpack by my self and i must say that everythink worked well and the patches sound like in my demo video. Maybe you have too much reverb and thereby overdriven the sound? Or the volume controller from the analog keys is set too loud. If the problem persists, please let us continue writing by email. sound-design@floppydiskpirates.com

  • #26

    Floppydisk Pirates (Monday, 30 June 2014 00:10)

    @Helge Krabye

    This is a problem, that has never happened before. None of my clients. Actually, this should work without problems. The process in the PDF is a bit outdated. Since the last updates, it has changed a bit. Try this way: ok, just press the funktion button + global. Use the arrow keys to step to
    "sysex dump", hit the yes button. Now to "sysex receive". Go to "+drive
    sound" and use the right arrow key to jump over. Now you can specific choose
    in wich bank you wanna drop your patches. Open on your mac or pc the "c6
    manager" and import the patches(choose all patches, crtl+A). Hit "send" to import the data on your
    Analog Keys :) Samll hint: Choose an empty bank. In this case empty means
    "(256)".

    Helge Krabye (Sunday, 29 June 2014 23:51)

    I just purchased the "Elektron Analog Four (Keys) BPM Sound Pack Update 1.1 by Floppydisk Pirates", took a backup of my Analog Keys, transferred your sounds by following the pdf instructions - and almost all of the sounds sound like they are distorted, or that something is wrong. They don't sound like your demo at all. Any suggestion why this happens? I restarted the Analog Keys (OS 1.1D) but that didn't help. I used the C6 SysEx Manager App for the transfer, and there were no errors while transferring. - Helge

    Proud owner of the bpm pack, now i got the DON'T COPY THAT FLOPPY pack aswell. In one word: Fantastic :) I bought a few other packs like the OVRdrive from other creaters, but your packs are still the best! Your creations are on a so different level, like the comments says here: you should really work for elektron! Never could do that on my own, so thanks a lot!

    You made me realize the true pontential on this little machine! You achieve sounds that I though impossible to achieve. At the beginning I was about to sell my A4. Elektron, thank this guy! Im a proud owner because of him these days. Can't wait for the new pack. Have heard the demo and you nailed it again :)
